Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Unicode Converter tool provided by RajTool, including:

• The Microsoft Office Add-in (Word / Excel)
• The Google Docs / Google Sheets Add-on

We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what data we collect and why.

2. Platform Coverage

Both platforms share the same core privacy commitment: document content never leaves your device. All text conversion (KrutiDev / Devlys → Unicode) is performed locally inside your Office or Google application. No document text is ever transmitted to our servers.

The only data that may be processed server-side relates to license verification for premium features, as described below.

3. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

• Email address — used to identify your account and verify subscription status.
• Subscription status — plan type, start date, and expiry date stored in our secure database.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our third-party payment processor. We never store card or banking details.

We do not collect: document content, typed text, browsing history, device identifiers, or any analytics data.

4. Microsoft Office Add-in

Local Storage

The add-in may store a cached authentication token in your browser's local storage to avoid repeated sign-in prompts. This token is not shared with any third party and is deleted when you sign out.

5. Google Docs / Google Sheets Add-on

Google Account Email & OAuth Scopes

The Google Add-on requests the following OAuth permissions:

• userinfo.email — to read your Google account email address for license verification.
• script.external_request — to make a single HTTPS call to our license server to check whether your email has an active subscription or trial.
• documents.currentonly or spreadsheets.currentonly — to read and modify only the currently open document/sheet for conversion.

Free Trial Auto-Provisioning

When you open the Google Add-on for the first time, a 30-day free trial is automatically created using your Google email address. No account password or registration is required. You can later claim a full account at rajtool.com using the same email.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Unicode Converter's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only use your Google account email to verify your license status.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes.
• We do not sell Google user data to third parties.
• We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless required by law or you have given explicit permission.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed through a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. RajTool does not receive or store your card number, bank account details, or any other payment credentials.

Upon successful payment, our payment processor notifies our server, which records your subscription status (plan type and expiry date) linked to your email address.

Subscription data is stored securely in our cloud database hosted on servers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

7. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the service:

• Our authentication & database provider — stores account and subscription data securely.
• Our payment processor — handles all billing and payment transactions.
• Our hosting provider — runs our backend API infrastructure.
• Google — Apps Script runtime for the Google Add-on.

Each provider has its own privacy policy and data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any advertising networks or analytics platforms.

8. Security

All data transmissions between the add-on and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Our database is secured with row-level security policies and access is restricted to authenticated API requests.

API requests from the Google Add-on are authenticated using a shared API key, ensuring only authorized add-on deployments can access the license verification endpoint.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
